It’s built from sintered stainless steel mesh or metal fibre felt, which doesn’t rust and can handle high heat. Working Principle:
Multiple Leaf Disc filters are stacked inside a vertical housing. Unfiltered polymer melt enters the housing, flowing simultaneously towards the filter surfaces from both the top and bottom.
As the melt passes through the filter media, contaminants—including gels, catalyst residues, and solid particles are captured on the filter surfaces.
The purified melt then flows through openings in the central hub, enters a collection tube, and exits the housing clean and ready for the next processing stage.
